Dear Friend,

Personal Note On A Personal Note...

Happy New Year!! The holidays and all the hard work of the giving season is over. IT IS TIME TO THINK ABOUT YOU! We all give so much of ourselves at the end of each year, so it's completely normal to be drained and exhausted come January.

I encourage you to rest a bit and really think about how you want this next year to unfold. Do you want to do the same things, have the same people in your life, or look the same way come the end of 2008? Directional change and upgrades are easier achieved with declared intentions.

Take a little time to write down your goals for the coming year and post them somewhere you can see them every day. – I love writing bullet points on my mirror in lip liner... cheap lip liner, don't use the good stuff! - This daily reminder of your intended direction will help keep you focused and on track as life and our hectic world starts to spin faster and faster.

If you haven't already, I encourage you to make looking like a million without spending a fortune one of your New Year's goals! I promise in the coming year to continue to help make saving money look fabulous on you!

Be Happy! Be Beautiful! Be Thrifty!

Love and Trust, Andy Paige Andy's Monster

P.S. Start your year off right! Now is the time to book a life changing Beauty Boot Camp! Life is too short to hate getting dressed!

Tips

Oatmeal Mask for Winter Skin

An oatmeal mask is a great remedy for skin beaten by cold wind. To make it, mix together in equal proportions raw oatmeal flakes, egg yolk, and honey. Some people like to substitute 6 oz. of plain yogurt for the egg yoke, either will offer soothing results.

Keep the mask on your face for 20 minutes, wash with lukewarm water, and pat dry. After the application, your skin will feel very soft, refreshed, purified and healed...Spa pampering with pantry staples (WooHoo!)

Floral Details

Sex and The City was a huge television hit empowering women across the country to redefine the terms feminist and femininity. The show launched many fashion trends and now that the official Sex and The City movie will be out in May, you can be sure it and Patricia Fields, the show's stylist, will offer a visual fad parade which will no doubt inspire us once again.

Living here in New York City, I confess I've been inconvenienced numerous times by the closed streets and filming of the Sex and The City movie in my neighborhood, but one of the bennies has been the occasional sneak peak at Ms. Parker's wardrobe. These accidental rendezvous with the fashion future lead me to proclaim that the spring will find us knee deep in flowers.

Oversized fabric flowers will surely pop up on lapels, and flower details on shoes, handbags and belts will have you feeling feminine and sweet. Bright floral prints in vibrant colors will catch your eye, and you may find yourself looking for a good excuse to wear fresh flowers in your hair.

The point of this is to give you a thrifty chic heads up, so that you may start to gather such finds from your favorite thrift store or consignment shop. Don't throw such things away come spring cleaning, or you may miss out on a perfect opportunity to revive that floral dress with a new shorter hem or an added floral detail. Consider yourself in the know (Wink!).

Lander Essentials Have You Tried...

Lander Essentials Body Products

I discovered the Lander Essentials Body Products after buying the 3-in-1 Body Wash, Bubble Bath & Shampoo. The smell of the products were so great and the 3-in-1 was just $2.99 for a 32.oz bottle. I loved it so much as a bubble bath I decided to try the rest of the line and I'm here to tell ya, these products offer major luxurious bang for the buck.

The Vanilla Crème Body Lotion, Body Scrub and Body Wash are simply dreamy! Of coarse I am nuts for anything vanilla, but the body scrub leaves my skin moisturized and smooth like I have just left the spa. None of these products are over $3 bucks and I am amazed at the delicious smells and rich feeling.

You can find these products at both Walgreens and Wal-Mart in the skin care aisle. Enjoy!
