Dear Friend,
 On A Personal Note...
Don't you just feel like screaming "Hurry Up Spring! Hurry Up!"
I curse that groundhog and his crazy shadow! I am so ready to put my coat away
and bring my bare toes out to play. Sweaters-be-gone, I say, sweaters-be-gone!
I don’t know if any of this ritual ranting and raving will work, but it makes
me feel a little better. Perhaps if we all think positively, Mother Nature will
smile on us so we can start sporting all of the hottest trends for spring.
I simply can't wait to wear fuller skirts, enjoy the new bevy of sexy
comfortable flats, update my wardrobe with natural accents in burlap, wood and
raffia, add hippie-chic touches with turquoise and coral and herald my
continued affinity for all things metallic! It is going to be a fun season and
I promise to help guide you through with thrifty chic style!
Love and Trust,

P.S. Special thanks to the wonderful women of Boise! I hope to see you
again soon!

 Tips
Award season is here and the chic ponytail is popping up on red carpets
everywhere. This look can be ultra glamorous if styled correctly. The key is to
create height at the crown and pull the ponytail back at about ear level. This
trick costs little or nothing and the result is totally Hollywood! Here's how
it's done:
-
To achieve this style, work with two separate, straightened sections of hair.
Separate the hair just at the crown (approximately a 3" x 5" section)
and pin or clip it so that you can work with the lower half of your hair
independently.
-
Slick the lower half into a groomed ponytail about ear level and fasten with an
elastic band.
-
Take the crown section and back-comb or tease it to achieve height. Spray the
roots with hairspray for extra hold and support.
-
Smooth the crown section back toward the ponytail just combing the top layer of
hair. Do not over work this step, the height is what creates the modern look.
-
With a separate elastic, join the two sections and smooth.
-
For a classic, no-elastic look take a piece of hair from the ponytail, wrap it
around the elastics and fasten it under at the base with a hairpin.
-
For a more fun, funky look take the top section that meets the ponytail and
splay it around the elastic so that it sticks up and fans around the bottom
ponytail.

Cool tones will be hot hot hot for spring! Incorporating beautiful shades of
blue, turquoise, green and lilac are a great way to wake up many of your spring
fashion staples. Don't forget, changing your tops and updating your accessories
is always the easiest and most economical way to keep your wardrobe current.
Colors of sea and sky will look crisp when paired together or added to neutral
tones for a pop of modern style. Think about adding turquoise jewelry, sporting
a gorgeous sexy pair of purple sandals or topping off your look with a
beautiful green raincoat.
