On A Personal Note...
In honor of heart month and the American Heart Association's Go Red Movement, I
ran the Mardi Gras Marathon in New Orleans with my gorgeous sister Elena, February
24th. As many of you may know, I could not even run a half mile three years ago
when my friend and life coach Rhonda Britten convinced me to train and run the LA
Marathon with her.
Since running the LA Marathon and getting involved with the GO RED movement, I have
dedicated myself to good heart health and continue to run for my ticker. I used
to workout for my butt... but now I do all I do for my heart!
This was Elena's first marathon and just like everyone, she started out slow and
stayed committed to a training routine that saw her to the finish line after 26.2
miles of fun fun fun. We had family, friend and Cents of Style clients along the
route cheering us on and we both had a blast! – Really... no kidding! (wink!)
A marathon, a workout routine or any commitment to better health all start with
the decision to make better choices. Go to
