Dear Friend,
 On A Personal Note...
We made it! Winter is over and Spring is budding with possibility and promise.
The stores are in full bloom with full priced items! (eeek!) Bright fresh
colors, textures, styles and patterns are magically alluring this time of year,
but for the next few weeks I encourage you all to shop for perspective! Gather
the knowledge of all things new, and then apply what you learn to what you
already have. Take stock of your closet and establish what still fits, what you
can mix and match to create new looks and what key items are needed to pull
things together with a modern edge. Many times great tops and the latest
accessories can update everything. Remember, great bargains are just a couple
of weeks away!

Homemade is Haute Couture! Handicraft items were a hit on Spring '05 runways.
With a resurgence of hippie/bohemian/gypsy style... ya' knew a macramé
belt couldn't be far behind.
I love the thought of adding handmade touches to your wardrobe; it just doesn't
get more thrifty chic... but I stress TOUCHES. The goal it to create a modern
balance of new and old, so let one craft creation say it all.

 Tips
Chamomile tea is a great inexpensive highlight extender and color boost. Once a
week, after shampooing, saturate your hair with two to three cups of brewed and
cooled chamomile tea. Leave it in for a couple of minutes and rinse. You'll be
amazed to find you can go a couple of extra weeks between salon visits.
Have You Tried...
Baby shampoo as eye make-up remover!
I was at the doctor's office recently for a nagging stye and she recommended I
start removing my eye make-up with baby shampoo. My doctor said it was the best
thing to cleanse the eyelashes and keep the follicles bacteria free. Her
recommendation made perfect sense so I tried it and it works beautifully! You
only need a small amount; it is very gentle and super thrifty! It also makes a
great cleanser for your Andy Paige Cosmetic Brushes! WooHoo!
