On A Personal Note...
Spring is officially here! (Yippee!!) Even if it’s still freezing in your
neck of the woods, the one thing we can all do is add more color to our daily uniforms.
Bright colors have never been more trendy and the natural energy boost you feel
when wearing electric hues is undeniable.
This season, when you find yourself gravitating to the black hole of your closet,
resist the urge. Choose white over black basics and accessorize with fabulous colored
accessories for a fresh, youthful look.
You are sure to find that the gorgeous colors of the season will keep you warm until
the thermometer catches up to the visions of sunshine glowing in your mind.
A big hello and many thanks to the thousands of women who joined me at the West
Michigan Women’s Expo. I had a blast teaching, learning, laughing and measuring
hundreds of you for new bras! (woohoo!) A sense of pride rushed over me when I think
of all of your “girls” enjoying new elevated views. Keep ‘em high
and mighty ladies! Remember, when perfectly placed, we naturally have more shape
through the waist!

Sun Protection for Sensitive Skin
Sensitive active skin should be cared for like babies' skin. Shop the baby aisle
for great products that are super gentle. Apply your SPF right out of the shower
and allow it to soak into the skin. For even more protection, use it as a night
moisturizer as well; the more penetration the better the protection.
Sale Rack
March is often a great month to shop the sale rack for trousers and pants. The stores
are currently stocked with regular/full price skirts and dresses, because women
tend to wear more of those in the spring and summer, so the pants get pushed to
the sale rack.
When you hit the sale rack this month looking for bargain britches, remember:
- To optimize your money, shop for fabrics that you can wear all year long. (i.e.
tropical wool, poly blends, heavier cotton blends, gabardines, etc.)
- Skip the pleats - Pleats were created so that men would have a place to put their
golf balls while on the course. Most women do not need the extra fabric and ballooning
around the middle that pleats create.
- NO tapered legs - A straight legged pant that cleanly falls from the largest part
of your bottom is always a much more flattering option.
- No high waist - A high waist pant brings attention to your tummy. The best fit
is a waist that falls just around the belly button.
With Spring Break in full gear and Summer Vacation just around the corner, now is
also the time to find great deals on luggage and all things travel. Look for competitive
bargains on sleeping bags, folding chairs in a bag, camping supplies and duffle
bags. Large discount stores have been flooded with these items and super bargains
are sure to be found!
