Dear Friend,
 On A Personal Note...
Spring is here and I am cleaning out my closet! I live in Manhattan where space
is at a premium and the closets are built for austere nudists. So, I am forced
to practice the barbaric ritual of rotating my spring/summer and fall/winter
wardrobe. I do this twice a year and though it is a SUPER pain in the whooha,
it does help me keep things in check. Approximately every six months I pose a
few vital questions to every item hanging in my closet:
-
Have I worn this in the last six months?
-
Is it flattering, comfortable and does fit me well?
-
Do I LOVE it?
-
Does this represent the image I want to project?
-
Can I wear this in three different ways and/or with three other things in my
closet?
If the answer is NO to any of these questions, I opt to send it to charity
versus paying to house it in my storage space.
The upside of editing your wardrobe this often is with each passing season you
get a better understanding of the things you love and what looks best on you.
This knowledge makes shopping easier and ridiculous purchases fewer and far
between. Even though I dread it... I always feel excited and empowered by my
new organized closet full of things I love and can’t wait to wear! You try it!
It feels gooooood!

Sale Rack
Easter is over so Spring Sales are in full bloom. Here's what to look for this
month:
-
Raincoats - If you’ve been hankering for a fabulous bright colored rain coat
now is the time to buy it. The stores want them out of site before May.
-
Knit, Knit, Knit - In just a few weeks many knits are going to feel too heavy
in summer’s heat, so stores are pushing them out.
-
Hoodies - All types of casual and athletic hoodies are ripe for bargain
pickin...hoodies are not perceived as warm weather gear, so they are in April’s
bargain basement!
Have You Tried...
VIACTIV 500+D+K Soft Calcium Chews
I know that this is a little off subject... but I have to share!
At a routine doctor's visit last week I found out that I have shrunk half an
inch! Eeeek! My doctor recommended that I try two VIACTIV 500+D+K Soft Calcium
Chews a day. She said she liked the caramel flavor best, so I
decided to give 'em a try.
HOLY HOOTIE... These things are super yummy!!!! I can’t wait to take them every
day now. I even ate one yesterday just for a candy fix! The most important
thing of course is that I am protecting my bones and posture. (Wink!)

 Tips
Spring Make-Up... Blush-y Blush and Brighter Lips!
Spring cosmetic trends are a godsend for the cosmetically challenged. This
season you can forget about the strategic eye-shadow and just dab on a bit more
blush and lipstick for a "right now" look. A flushed cheek with
brighter lipstick, black mascara and groomed brows are all you need to look
runway perfect.
To easily achieve this season's freshest look, apply cream blush before you
powder your face and blend it all the way up to your temple. If you haven't
used cream blush in a while... or at all... give it a try this season. You get
a much more natural glow-y result.
As for the lips, plump bee-stung perfection is the goal. Choose a brighter
shade than you have in the past and apply from the center of your mouth out to
the edges. This technique will help with symmetry and keep the center of your
mouth fuller.
Bonus: Blush naturally makes you look younger and a brighter lipstick makes
your teeth look whiter... Who doesn’t want that? For more cosmetic application
tips check out my
Beauty Boot Camp page.
