On A Personal Note...

Starting Over was honored with TWO Daytime Emmy nominations this year which meant we got to go to the big event last week! (Holy Hootie!!) This year the Emmy's were held at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood which made the occasion extra extra special! You have to know, I was cloud-9 excited to have the opportunity to attend and to walk the red carpet with all the daytime stars. I took a few photos to share with you.

My favorite new designer, Cibeline Sariano (www.cibelinesariano.com), helped make Rhonda Britten (Starting Over, Life Coach and friend) and me red carpet ready. Cibeline designed a gorgeous Grecian inspired gown for me and a sexy, modern kimono for Rhonda. To top off my one-of-a-kind copper brown dress, I added layers of rich turquoise beads (which I made myself, thrifty diva style) and I splurged for a $35 personalized air-brush tan... It was the Emmys after all!

I am sorry to say that we didn't win, but I had one of the most amazing and memorable nights of my life!! It is so darn corny, but true... the honor is being nominated and being given the opportunity to attend!! I am truly one of the luckiest girls in the world!

The Wonders of Peroxide!

I received an incredible email last week from Becky Ransey of Indiana, about the wonders of peroxide. I knew a few of these tricks, but I was amazed that an .88¢ bottle of 3% peroxide could solve so many household issues and potentially save you hundreds, even thousands of dollars. I have been excited to share a few of the tips with you and I hope it helps you save a buck or two!

• Let your toothbrushes soak in a cup of peroxide to keep them free of germs.
• Clean your counters and table tops with peroxide to kill germs and leave a fresh smell.
• After rinsing off your wooden cutting board, pour peroxide on it to kill salmonella and other bacteria.
• Add a cup of peroxide instead of bleach to a load of whites for brighter whiter clothes.
• Clean mirrors, glass, TV and computer screens with peroxide for a great streak free shine.
• Lighten yellowed or stained fingernails by soaking them in peroxide.
