Dear Friend,
 On A Personal Note...
I have wonderful news to report!
Starting Over took home its first Daytime Emmy Award Saturday
night for Best Special Series. I am so happy the show has been recognized for
the incredibly generous and exhaustive efforts taken to improve lives. The
dedicated production staff of over one hundred people is absolutely elated and
extends a huge thanks to the faithful viewers who watch the show and believe in
its ability to help women everywhere Start Over.
 If that wasn't wonderful news enough, I was honored to stand
with my best friend Lori, ( Starting Over Season One) as she wed
sweet Joe, this past weekend! Those of you who followed our story on Starting
Over, know what an incredibly special occasion this was. I am
happy to report that the two of them radiate love, light and inspiration. They
couldn't be more perfectly suited or in absolute love. I am so proud of Lori
for opening the door to life and pushing through her social fears with patient
perseverance. May they live happily ever after!

Sixth Cents

I have been encouraging you to break out your old chunky jewelry, like beads,
bangles and pendants for a few months now. The trend for larger, significant
accessories is not waning any time soon, so I hope you have been hording the

 F.Y.I - Now is the time to start scouring your local thrift
stores, resale boutiques, attics and garage sales for old cowboy boots. Polish
them up and add to full skirts and cami/tanks for an unexpected urban look this
season or hold on to them for fall... when they will be so chic they'll hardly
leave your feet!

 Tips
While I was preparing to speak in Boise, Idaho last week, I ran out of my
favorite spray on leg make-up, AirStockings. With my skirt perfectly pressed,
no pantyhose in sight and the clock ticking and taunting... I added a little
foundation to my body lotion and slathered it on my limbs. It proved to be a
great quick fix, evening out my skin tone just enough to avoid pulling my
britches out of my dirty-clothes bag!
