Dear Friend,
 On A Personal Note...
Shorts of all lengths and styles are hotter than ever this season; but
ill-fitting shorts that ride up between your legs when you walk can be a
fashion nightmare! The constant need to pull shorts down is so embarrassing not
to mention VERY uncomfortable!
I addressed this question in my ASK ANDY section a bit ago, but with the
resurgence of trendy shorts for spring and summer, I have gotten many questions
about how to "reduce the ride" between the legs, find shorts that fit better
and are more comfortable to wear. So, here are my tips for finding your perfect
fitting shorts:
When shopping for "thrifty chic" shorts, make sure that the cut of the shorts
proves the front panel to be smaller than the back panel. Shorts with a front
panel that is equal the size of the back panel often ride between the legs
pulling the crotch seams back between the legs. A smaller front panel will help
keep the shorts comfortably in place. To check this, lay the shorts flat, you
should be able to see the side seams on the front side.
It is also best to avoid pleats or any extra fabric in the front as this can
also cause the riding and pulling towards the back. Check the rise, (the length
from the crotch seam to the waist) if the rise is too long there will be fabric
bunched at the crotch which will also cause the riding.
The ease of the thigh is equally important. If the shorts are the least bit too
tight, they will cling and ride up between your legs. You have to find shorts
that are relaxed through the leg and extend past the fullest part of the thigh.
Follow these tips and you are sure to find your new "favorite" shorts!
Be happy! Be Beautiful! Be Thrifty!

 Tips - White Suits
I was conducting a Closet Evaluation with a private client last week and we
came across a dry cleaning issue I thought I should share. With the popularity
of white this season many of us have purchased beautiful new white suits. Be
aware, if one piece of your white suit needs to be cleaned, you should dry
clean both pieces at the same time.
Quite often dry cleaning solutions will slightly tint the white making it look
gray or yellowed. If this happens you definitely want the tinted effect to be
on both pieces of the suit. If you dry clean just one piece you could end up
with mismatched whites that are very hard to color correct. It may be a little
more expensive to continually dry clean both pieces, but it's better than
rendering the suit unwearable because the whites don't match!
