Dear Friend,
 On A Personal Note...
I am so excited about the new fall color palette. Color carries great fashion
power and this season's hues are sure to make stylish dynamos of us all! As you
start to contemplate your seasonal bridge items, what you are going to keep in
your closet through fall and what items will help update your look, keep the hot
colors of autumn in mind.
This
season is all about jewel tones. You are sure to find fresh fall items awash
in rich, gorgeous reds, purples, blues, greens and yellow tones. Knowing that
these saturated colors look modern when paired with neutrals and gray, take a
look at your closet and accessories. Do you see these colors waving at you? If
you have a few great pieces in solid, vibrant jewel tones, terrific! These will
become the bridge items that when worn with updated accessories will keep you
looking smart, polished and on-trend.
Remember that color can convey value, and that's exactly what the color pallet of
the season does. So if you do not have a closet full of vibrant beautiful hues, a
few inexpensive tops and accessories in your favorite high voltage color will renew
and visually elevate what you already have.
Color is a great way to modernize while still maintaining your personal style. Many
of us have suffered through the skinny pant trend and the empire waist "pregnant
looking pooch" trend of the past few seasons, but by simply wearing the hottest hue
in a silhouette that is most flattering for your figure, you can express your modern
flair without compromising your shape... You can do it! I believe in your Cents of Style!
Be Happy! Be Beautiful! Be Thrifty!

Sale Rack
Back
to school bargains offer a lesson in economics for us all! Just because you are
not hitting the books doesn't mean you can't take advantage of fabulous back to
school discounts at all of your favorite stores. Students heading back to school
and off to college need sheets, towels, paint, office furniture, bathroom supplies,
organizational items and computer equipment. They need jeans, sneakers, tees,
underwear, sweaters, jackets... You name it! If a student needs it, it's on
sale in August.
Stores are both clearing out summer items on the sale rack and pushing overstocked
student basics piled high at the end of every aisle. This is the time of year to
stock up on your wardrobe basics, so think like a kid and go gather some new daily
duds. You are sure to save more than a little lunch money!

This Month's Cents Of Style® Accessory
Suite
WILD ROSE

A rich looking graphic handbag elevates any outfit and offers a chic, stylish
edge that is both classic and modern! This month's WILD ROSE Cents of Style
Accessory Suite is a gorgeous collection that reflects both the hottest trends
and the masterful use of stripes to create high wattage style that will beautifully
bridge the seasons!
|

The handbag is super cool. If you love the Michael Kors "Roadie" style handbag, you
are going to flip for this fantastic striped slouch bag with patent details. The
bag is beautifully made and the details sell it as a much more expensive handbag.
I have added the hottest accessory of this season and the coming seasons, bangle
bracelets. The high gloss resin bangles are uniquely contoured. The uneven shape
adds an artistic element that looks expensive and less ordinary. The black bracelet
is thick and substantial and the thinner red bangle adds a saucy touch of style that
works to punch up the black and natural white of the striped handbag.

The earrings are awesome! The resin bead jewelry trend has been given an artistic
flair with these rose earrings that look hand carved. They are suspended on a thin
French hook and the Swarovski crystal top bead offers just enough sparkle to catch
the light and further draw attention to these hip earbobs!
This Accessory Suite is fashion magic! Add this to any solid colored (pattern less)
ensemble for an immediate style boost! Gathered with love... from one thrifty diva to
another!
Tips Dark Circles Under Your Eyes
I get so many questions about how to remedy dark circles. It's probably one of
the biggest cosmetic issues facing women over thirty, because our eyes show our
age and lack of sleep.
Dark circles occur when you are overtired or are developing an illness or
allergy. Surprisingly, they can also develop after extreme weight loss and
many times they are simply hereditary - blame Granny! The discoloration is
the result of engorged blood vessels around your eyes and is actually harmless,
though often unsightly.
It's true that applications or compresses of cold stuff, like cucumber slices,
spoons, wash clothes, tea bags, etc. all tend to work on both puffiness and dark
circles, but only because of the cold temperature. Cold compresses help constrict
blood vessels, tighten the skin and lighten the delicate eye tissue, so the
darkness doesn't show as much. Regular or daily use of cold compresses can
greatly reduce the look of dark circles over time.
Another solution is to address the possible allergies that could be causing your
dark circles. The most common allergens that engorged blood vessels around the
eye are pet dander, house dust, pollen and foods such as wheat, milk and sadly
chocolate. By removing the offending allergen, you can usually improve or
eliminate the dark circles.
Of course there is always good ol' concealer to cover the darn things up. My
favorite concealer is made by Sheer Cover and is listed on my WORTH EVERY CENT
page. It offers the best coverage I have ever found while still looking natural
and not cakey.
